Hopewell's Women's Ministry exists to create fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities for women who are interested in either beginning, or continuing, their faith walk. The ministry provides various options for fellowship, fun and Bible study throughout the year. Read the information below to learn more about some of the current opportunities in this vibrant ministry.
United Methodist Women
Hopewell's United Methodist Women are involved in mission locally and globally. Our purpose is to develop a supportive fellowship and to participate in the global ministries of the church. We are part of the more than one million women who have chosen to be members of a special organization with a specific purpose - United Methodist Women! Membership is open to any woman who desires to belong and participate in the global mission of the church. The total UMW program is reflected through: spiritual growth; mission education; Christian social involvement; support for women, children and youth. During the year we have special programs, such as the Mother/Daughter Banquet, A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial, Salad Supper, Calendar Dinner, and others. We pledge to missions such as Ingathering, Cornwall Manor, Church Women United, Christmas Giving Tree, and many other special projects
Coed volleyball begins in September and runs through early December. Matches are played at Hopewell and at East Brandywine Baptist Church.
