Fall 2017 Offerings

DISCIPLE is a method for reading and studying both the Old and New Testaments in a way that participants can follow and understand, without becoming overwhelmed. More than 3 million people have become Bible-literate through DISCIPLE’s daily scripture reading approach. DISCIPLE focuses on transformation, not merely biblical information, and its success has been demonstrated for thirty years.

The Settlement of the Hebrew Tribes in Canaan
This 8-week course, authored by Dr. Dave will explore the period from roughly 1250 - 1050 BC, when the Hebrews were establishing themselves in significant parts of the Land of Canaan. It is the time period covered by the Books of Joshua and Judges in the Bible. However, this study will also look at the archaeological record of the same period and will find some differences from the biblical version of events. Indeed, the settlement period is one of the most controversial areas of Israelite history.
